Let’s dive into what plan management is. Plan management is a financial service option used by National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.

Steps in NDIS process

  • Application to NDIS
  • Approval/Plan meeting
  • Asked how would you like to manage payments: Self-managed, Plan managed or NDIA
  • If selected plan managed, signed up with plan managers (us of course)
  • Ready for them to start paying your providers

So what do plan managers do? Plan managers are like your budgets bookkeepers. They assess your budgets, track spending, ensure invoices are compliant with NDIA regulations, pay providers and can provide budget meetings to discuss spending.

To utilise a plan manager, you can request your plan be managed by a plan manager. If you are midway through your plan and wish to change to a plan manager, you can ring the NDIS to request to change.
