An early NDIS plan review allows you to make changes to your current NDIS plan if your circumstances have changed or if you are not achieving your goals as expected.
Discuss your need to change your plan. You can start with your support coordinator or your local area co-ordinator (LAC). The LAC will book a check-in meeting. This is just to discuss all the changes and if you need to update your ‘about me’ or ‘your goals’. They will guide you through the process and help you understand what information you need to provide.
After your meeting your local area coordinator will submit your changes and requests to the agency. A delegate from the agency will call you to discuss all the changes. If there are small changes or adding something like assistive technology, the planner may approve your plan without a call.
NDIS is evidence based. This means to support your requests, you will need to gather any relevant documents. This is inclusive of medical records, assessments, or feedback forms.
Remember, an early NDIS plan review is a valuable opportunity to ensure that your NDIS supports align with your current needs and goals. This can be a lengthy process so ensuring to have all relevant documentation as soon as you can.
